Car # 106 - Monday - 08/31/20

Car #106 We started this car on Saterday 08/29/20 and got it all cleaned off and disasimbled

Car #106 was in real bad shape and needed to be half rebuilt from other cars to be Efficient

It needed allot of work and broken blocks replaced all over in order to be usable

Replaced all 4 Corners of Perimeter Blocks and all 6 Left side Parimiter Blocks and KOA wool

Dug out 4 Broken Center Supports and replaced them then reinsolated them back into place

Replaced 18 broken Block on Car with good Blocks off of several other cars

7 of them were the Front Leading Edge and 2 of them were the Trailing Edge the rest were in the center

Set all the Top Block in Precise Position and installed KOA wool for Expansion Joints

Put 2 Expansion Joints Vertical and Horizontally to allow for block compression inside the Kiln

Put all 48 Brick Support Block on Top and arranged them to fit the setter for Efficiency

The Skirts on this car did not need straightening so we moved onto the wheels and paiting

Painted all 8 sides of all 4 of the Corner Blocks and Painted Number #106 on all 8 sides

We jacked up each corner and checked and greased each wheel making sure they turned freely

Both Right side wheels were locked up and full of old baked black grease and would not turn at all

Cleaned out the Ride Rear wheel and refilled it with grease and got it turning again

Took the grease fitting out of the Right Front wheel and cleaned out the grease hole and was able

To get it to finally take grease and broken free so it turns freely but the Right Rear is still stiff
